Eric Puchner is the author of California Book Award finalist Music Through the Floor. He is a former Wallace Stegner Fellow and a Pushcart Prize winner. His work has appeared in multiple anthologies including Best American Short Stories, Best American Non-Required Reading, and Tin House. His personal essays frequently appear in GQ and Medium. His novel Model Home was a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner Prize. Puchner is currently a professor in the writing seminars at Johns Hopkins, and lives in Baltimore with his wife, the novelist Katharine Noel, and their two children, Tess and Clem.
