Steve Putnam lives in Western Massachusetts, works in ancestral shadows of farmers, carpenters, ice dealers, often paddles marathon canoes, solo or tandem with wife Cindy.He also worked as an on-site tech in the florescent shadows of a large life insurance company’s home office.
Glimmertrain editors have twice awarded Honorable Mention for an excerpt from Academy of Reality. Another piece was a semi-finalist in an American Short Fiction contest. More recent, work from a novel-in-progress made the short list in the William Faulkner-Creative Writing Competition (Pirate’s Alley Faulkner Society, New Orleans). Publishing credits include fiction published in Whiskey Island Literary Journal, and non-fiction work, Nature’s Ritalin for the Marathon Mind, along with related journal and magazine articles. Putnam is currently revising his novel Glue Horse Heaven, a rendering pony tale.
