Joseph Meyer, violinist

Joseph_MeyerJoseph Meyer, violin, is an active soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral leader who holds positions as associate concertmaster of the Charlotte Symphony, associate concertmaster of the Colorado Music Festival, and faculty member of Davidson College. Former positions in other orchestras include concertmaster of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, guest concertmaster of the Knoxville and San Antonio Symphonies, and a founding member of the Minnesota Contemporary Ensemble. As a chamber musician, he has performed and recorded for contemporary composers such as John Morrison, Stephen Dankner, and William Stevens. Also involved in baroque performance, he is a member of the New Orleans–based Lyrica Baroque ensemble.
