James Gordon Bennett is the author of the novels My Father’s Geisha and The Moon Stops Here, both inspired by his experiences as an Army brat with his family. His short fiction has appeared in such journals as The Yale Review, The Gettysburg Review, and The Virginia Quarterly Review. His articles and reviews have been published in Vogue, Glamour, and The New York Times Book Review. He teaches at LSU in Baton Rouge. He has been a member of the Words & Music faculty on many occasions and has master of ceremonies for Faulkner For All. His work is represented in Best of LSU Fiction, the new anthology edited by Judy Kahn and Nolde Alexius and published by the Southern Review.
